For over 25 years Wishbone Walks have been funding the NZ based orthopaedic research that transforms people’s lives through increased mobility and aims to help patients recover more quickly from injury or skeletal pain.
We're moving with the times & exploring new ways of fundraising for this important research. Click HERE for the 2024 Wishbone Relay Home page. We hope you enjoy reading the blog-spots for all the individual Relay legs.

It’s all about helping…
In 2001 Amanda broke her back after having previously broken her ankle. Her mum has had two shoulder replacements, her aunt has had a broken shoulder, and her mother-in-law and grandmother have both had hip replacements - so their family is very aware of what orthopaedic services support!
Amanda says her and her mum both received amazing care during their surgery and in rehab so when they found out about Wishbone walks & their aims, she was quick to sign her & husband Shane up for the stair climb at Eden Park.
