SET Selection Regulations

The SET Selection Regulations for selection to the SET Programme for Orthopaedic Surgery for the 2024 intake are now available:

These Regulations are reviewed each year so it is important that you read prior to and in conjunction with completing an application for the SET Training Programme, even if you have applied previously we highly recommend that you read these each year. 

Selection Key Dates 2025

(always check the RACS site for registration dates and you must register with RACS even if you have applied in previous years)

Registration Opens 12pm AEDT: Tuesday 7 January 2025 

Registration Closes 12pm AEDT: Friday 31 January 2025 

Applications Open 12 noon AEDT: Wednesday 19 February 2025 (2pm NZ)

Applications Close 12 noon AEDT Wednesday 19 March 2025 (2pm NZ)

Workplace Assessments Open 9.00am AEST Wednesday 16 April 2025 (12pm NZ)

Workplace Assessments Close 8.00pm AEST Wednesday 30 April 2025 (11pm NZ)

Interviews will take place in New Zealand on a date and place to be determined and advised.
