Covid & other events meant a few years had passed since the last opportunity to convocate in NZ, so we thought it would be fun to have as many LIONZ as possible convocating at the RACS ASC in Christchurch on Monday 6th May...we got five!
That's the largest NZOA female quorum to date - but hopefully not for too long. We all had a great time catching up, laughing, chasing small humans, posing for photos and genuinely enjoying the gold gowns.
After picking up the gown, fantastic friends & photographers Chris and Jubilee took some fun shots of George out & about in Christchurch.
Talking tools with the cathedral construction crew...
We toasted our convocation in the hotel
...and then headed outdoors for some more photos on a breezy, but golden autumn day
The pack of lively cubs made sure all the posing didn't get too serious with their candid expressions,
comments, running around & photobombing
Shared kai kept the kids on even keels as glittering guests & gowned dignitaries arrived
The day rounded off with a delicious dinner hosted by the Hooper family at The Monday Room
Several of our male colleagues were also in Christchurch with their friends & family convocating - congratulations & we hope you had as memorable a time as we did!
We'd love to see your pics/hear your thoughts - you can post them directly in the blog comments or send an email to vanya@nzoa.org.nz and she will sort it.
