The weather had certainly changed from yesterdays ride & we decided to ride from Hospital to Hospital instead of  the originally flagged end on Wellingtons wild South Coast.

This was a more challenging ride than yesterday that Hamish described as
‘just a normal Wellington commute with a few undulations’ 

But the sun did push through the clouds eventually 

50km of single track and 1400m of climbing later, only three out of the six starters arrived at Wellington Hospital due to 3 mechanical failures. (broken derailleur, broken dropper post and destroyed rear brakes)

Time for a scrub & we were off to the Wellington Black & White Ball!
