Applications are now invited for the 2020 grant funding round

This fund is primarily for orthopaedic researchers and clinicians.  Applicants are expected to be either Registrars or emerging new clinical researchers, with an NZOA member as part of the project team.   Select the link below to download the application form and send in your application by Friday 24 July 2020.  All applicants will be advised of the result of their applications following the Orthopaedic Research Committee's meeting in August.

The Wishbone Trust has merged with the NZOA Research Foundation to form the Wishbone Orthopaedic Research Foundation of New Zealand.  

The Foundation aims to promote, and raise funds for, research in various aspects of orthopaedic surgery.  It also manages a research grants programme, which provides independent financial support for orthopaedic research in New Zealand.

2019 Successful Orthopaedic Grant Recipients 
For the 2019 funding round, the Wishbone Orthopaedic Research Foundation provided $18,500 to support projects which aim to improve the health of New Zealanders.  You can read more about this research here.
