NZOA Trust

The NZOA Trust exists to advance the science and art of orthopaedic surgery in New Zealand.

Annual payments from the Trust include the Top Trainee Prize, the Trainee Research Prize and funding of the NZOA ASM Speaker.  As a charity a significant proportion of the income from investments is distributed annually and each year there is around $100,000 - $140,000 available for disbursement.

The Trust has distributed funds for: The ABC Fellowship, The ASEAN Travelling Fellowship, The Hong Kong Young Ambassador, The ANZAC Fellowship, a grant for the NZ Hip Fracture Registry and refurbishment of historic memorabilia of Sir Alexander Gillies (first President of the NZOA) donated by Lady Joan Gillies.
